JUVÉDERM Voluma™ XC, an injectable gel designed to instantly add volume to the cheeks. In fact, it is the first and only filler FDA-approved for this type of treatment. It gets its name from a toxin that is produced by a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum Toxin or Botox is the most popular nonsurgical procedure in the U.S. with over 4.5 million of them performed last year! Botox injections must be administered by a qualified medical professional. The procedure begins with an initial consultation where the outcomes and expectations are discussed. You would be asked to quit smoking and alcohol two to three weeks before the treatment to get maximum results from the treatment. Lipodissolve involves a series of injections that are supposed to melt away localized fat deposits. The drugs most regularly used are phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate (PCDC).
